At The Boyd & Berend Group, we believe that being part of the Steamboat Springs community means more than helping clients buy and sell real estate. It means rolling up our sleeves, lending a hand, and investing in the organizations that make our town such a special place to call home.
This year, our team proudly participated once again in the annual United Way Day of Caring, a community-wide volunteer event that brings together local businesses, nonprofits, and residents for a day dedicated to service.
For our 2026 Day of Caring project, team members Alexa Kaminski, Ben Berend, Shelly Wu, and our summer intern, Finley Danielson, spent the day volunteering at Discovery Learning Center. Armed with buckets, rags, and enthusiasm, our crew tackled window washing duties to help brighten the facility and support the incredible work being done there every day.
Projects like these help nonprofit organizations save valuable resources that can be directed toward their programs and services instead of maintenance expenses.
United Way’s Day of Caring is one of the largest volunteer events in the Yampa Valley. Each year, businesses, organizations, and community members volunteer their time at local nonprofits and community facilities to assist with projects such as landscaping, painting, cleaning, repairs, and other improvements.
As local real estate professionals, we have the privilege of helping people find their place in Steamboat Springs. Participating in events like Day of Caring allows us to give back to the community that has given so much to us.
Whether we’re assisting clients with their real estate goals, supporting local nonprofits, or volunteering alongside fellow community members, our commitment to Steamboat extends beyond real estate transactions.
We are grateful to United Way for organizing another successful Day of Caring and thankful for the opportunity to spend the day serving alongside so many dedicated volunteers throughout the Yampa Valley.
We look forward to participating again next year and continuing to support the organizations that make Steamboat Springs such an extraordinary place to live, work, and play
