Steamboat Springs

Steamboat Springs and the surrounding Yampa Valley are made up of several different neighborhoods and areas, each with their own unique characteristics. Within the Steamboat Springs city limits are the Mountain, Downtown, Fish Creek, Strawberry Park, and West Steamboat neighborhoods, all of which are within about a 7 mile radius. South of Steamboat Springs are the South Valley, South Routt and Stagecoach areas, including Rabbit Ears Pass, Oak Creek, Phippsburg and Yampa, and the exclusive Lake Catamount subdivision.

Traveling north will take you to the areas known as Elk River and North Routt. This beautiful section of the Yampa Valley includes Clark, Hahn’s Peak and the Steamboat Lake areas, with the Elk River meandering through the section of the valley, lending it its name.

Other, more rural areas that are slightly farther off the beaten path, but still within an easy drive to downtown Steamboat Springs are Hayden and the area known as South and West. Farther out, in the White River Valley between Rifle and Craig is the town of Meeker, a recreation and sportsman’s paradise.
