Steamboat Resort Opening Day on Dec 1st

Steamboat Springs Gondola

Steamboat Resort Opening Day is now on December 1st. Limited snowmaking and little early season snow did not provide adequate acreage to open and comply with COVID mitigation plans on the originally scheduled date. The new targeted date for Opening Day at Steamboat Resort is December 1st, based on projected forecasts with snowmaking opportunities. Until the resort officially opens, the mountain is closed to the public.

Steamboat Resort is confident in the plans they’ve put in place to help keep the resort and the community healthy this winter.

At this time, reservations are not required for Ikon, Ikon Base, Ikon Session 4-Day, Steamboat season, Steamboat Merchant, 7 Heavenly Daze, Weekday Hall Pass, Early & Late season 3-Day Passes, and Snowy Range pass holders at Steamboat.

To limit on-mountain capacity, the resort is currently not offering stand alone lift tickets and other products. Visit the website for more information on what packages and tickets are available.
