Once again today our Buyer’s Agent, Stephanie Fairchild, volunteered here time to visit the Soda Creek Elementary 4th Graders. The purpose of the visit was to educate our “4th Grade Foresters” about the tradition and meaning of Arbor Day.
Stephanie has been a representative of the ‘Free Trees and Plants’ project for a few years now and makes an annual trek to the elementary school to pass out rescued Colorado Blue Spruce tree saplings. The 4th grade classes were taught the importance of trees and urged to take an active role in reforesting our local area.
Each 4th grader was given a sapling to take home and plant along with care instructions and a certificate of appreciation for participating in the 4th Grade Foresters program. Even with spring break starting tomorrow, the 4th graders were enthusiastic to take their trees home and start planting.
Thanks to Stephanie for representing this program in Steamboat. It’s eco-minded people like her that help keep our community looking beautiful.
