The Routt County real estate market is showing slight improvement in housing supply, with inventory ticking up to 3.5 months from last month’s 2.8 months. While this is a positive shift, inventory remains well below balanced market levels. Some of this inventory increase can be attributed to new developments such as The Amble coming onto the market.
Moving into 2025, new development will be a big story in our market, with multiple projects on the horizon, such as The Glen Development on the west side of Steamboat. This development will come in phases, including 130 single-family homes and 30 townhomes. These types of projects will bring much-needed inventory in the highly competitive $1m – $2m range.
